Discrimination or Unfairness at the Work Place

(a)    I believe the National Employment Lawyers Associations (NELA) sponsors the www.workplacefairness.org site because the “Federal and state laws prohibit employment discrimination on the grounds of race, religion, sex, national origin, age, and disability, but these laws provide no protection from other forms of unfairness in the workplace.” With that being said, I feel the NELA has to be the ones to protect the people that fall under those other forms of unfairness in the workplace. For example, people with criminal backgrounds.
(b)   This website provides numerous resources for people to look over. A few of these resources are Employee Rights Groups, Legal Services, Government Agencies, Military Leave, Job Type and more.
(c)    One worked related issue that would push someone to seek out information on this site would be harassment at the work place. If an employee comes in very day and there’s some always using foul language or slurs, that employee can find the right information by visiting this site. Another work related issue would be if an employee felt they were not being paid correctly by their employer. Or if that employee is forced to work overtime, but not receiving any extra pay. They are able to visit this sit e and get the facts they need to ensure they are being treated right at work. Hospitality managers can address these issues by having consistent meeting with their teams, and hearing out all issues that are going on within the company. The manager should be able to solve such issues so the employees do not have to go that extra step and involve a third party.
